Beacon Hill Striders is an independent training group open to all ambitious cross-country runners of secondary school age (11 to 19) in Leicestershire. Beacon Hill Striders offers an athlete-centred approach to the development of young distance runners. Training sessions, designed to develop speed, strength and stamina are conducted each week under the guidance of a former international athlete and county senior cross-country champion. Training takes place at a number of venues in and around the Charnwood Forest area of Leicestershire.

Membership of the Beacon Hill Striders training group is FREE! - Just turn up and run!

From September 2008 we are operating with a Core Group of athletes who have commited themselves to train with us on a regular basis. Athletes who are not members of this training group are welcome to join our training sessions as "guests".

(Note: Guest runners who train with us regularly may be offered the opportunity of joining our Core Group)

If you would like to come along to any of our sessions just contact the group co-ordinator for further information.

Please visit our Monthly Blog for the latest news on our Core Group athletes.
